Breakdown Description:
Candidates must come PREPARED with a monologue no more than 2 minutes in length. We do not accept TV or movie monologues, nor do we accept "self written" monologues. It must be a published work. Candidate will also do a cold read from the play (will be provided).

All candidates should present a resume and a head shot (if available). If candidate does not have a head shot, then bring a picture that represents you best. All resumes and pictures become the property of Spotlight Theatre and will not be returned.
Rehearsals will begin soon. These are Non-Equity roles. Actors/Actresses will receive a stipend pay between $150 & $500 based on several factors (role, attendance, etc...) to be discussed at audition.

Description:
Auditions for Arsenic and Old Lace, will be held July 20th and 21st starting at 7 pm at the Campus Theatre, located at 214 W. Hickory Street in downtown Denton. The Denton Community Theatre production is directed by Betty Kay Seibt.
Drama critic, Mortimer Brewster, is horrified to discover that his sweet, elderly aunts’ charity work actually consists of poisoning elderly bachelors that they deem to be suffering from loneliness. Throw in one uncle who thinks he is Theodore Roosevelt and another who is a vicious killer trying to escape the police and you have a frantically fun comedy.
Auditions are open – no appointments. Resumes and headshots are encouraged, but not required.
Performances are Sept. 12,13,19,20 at 7:30 pm & Sept. 14,21 at 2 pm.

Breakdown:
Roles are available for 11 men and 3 women. All are adult roles. The two lead women need to be over 50 years old. The other woman is under 40 years old. The men are varying ages.

Description:
Spotlight Theatre is auditioning for an upcoming play..Joe DiPietro's "Over The River and Through The Woods". A heartwarming comedy about an Italian-American family in New Jersey. Nick, a 30 something business man has just received an offer for his dream job. Nick is the last family member that still lives in New Jersey around both sets of grandparents who he shares the Family dinner with every Sunday. The grandparents are not happy about this news and have a trick up their sleeve to keep Nick in Jersey. HILARIOUS!
The following roles are being cast:
Nick Cristano - Lead, Grandson, 30ish (will consider younger male). Light East Coast Accent.
Caitlan O'Hare - 20's. Very attractive girl. Light east coast accent.
Frank Gianelli - 80's - Nick's Maternal Grandfather, East Coast, Italian-American Accent. Will consider younger male actor to character act this role.
Aida Gianelli - 70's - Nick's Maternal Grandmother, East coast, Italian-American Accent. Will consider younger female actor to character act this role.
Nunzio Cristano - 70's - Nick's Paternal Grandfather, East Coast, Italian-American Accent. Will consider younger male actor to character act this role.
Emma Cristano - 70's - Nick's Paternal Grandmother, East Coast, Italian-American Accent. Will consider younger female actor to character act this role.

Actors should come prepared with a monologue - maximum 2 minutes in length. TV or Movie monologues NOT acceptable. You should bring a current headshot and resume (if available)or a picture that well represents you. All photos and resumes will NOT be returned and become the property of Spotlight Theatre.
Rehearsals begin July 14th. A rehearsal schedule will be given to the selected cast. Opening night is scheduled for July 31st. Rehearsals will be between 3-4 times per week and all week during Tech Week.
The show run is July 31st through August 24th (16 performances). Pay is stipend, amount depends on role.
