| Description: “Jenny” is a short character driven piece concerning one girl, during one day, in the small former logging town of Enumclaw, Washington. Seventeen year old Jenny is considered a rebel or an outsider by those in her town. With an unsupportive home life, her main concern is moving out of her parent’s house and getting to the big city as soon as possible. The only person she can really talk to in town is Gary, the local nudist. While the friendship may seem odd from the outside; it’s proof that the bonds that define our lives can come in the strangest and most unexpected places. “Jenny” is open to both union and non-union applicants and will be holding auditions in Hollywood, CA on September 11th and 12th. Production is currently slated for late September/early October (tentatively September 24th-26th) and will be shot in Washington. Again, ALL ROLES ARE PAID, and travel/hotel costs will be covered. | Breakdown Description: Jenny: Jenny is considered a “Rebel” or an “Outsider” by those in her small town. She listens to different music, watches different films, and has a different clothing style than any of her peers. Her main concern is moving out of her parent’s house and getting to the big city as soon as possible. The only person she can really talk to in town is Gary. Gary: Age 35-50. Not the most attractive man. Gary is first and foremost, a nudist. He is always naked. Some might consider him a little “off”. As for Gary, he thinks he’s one of the “sane” ones and doesn’t really care for all these people running around wearing clothes. Gary lives in a trailer park by the river; and he’s happy there. If anyone cares to confront him about his lack of clothing, he’s happy to debate them in a very articulate way. He’s an avid “American Idol” fan. *NOTE* No full frontal nudity required. A small garment will be worn at all times to conceal the area in question. |
